Film maker and animator Jonathan Chong (aka Dropbear) created a stop-motion music video for “Against the Grain” by Australian indie-folk band Hudson. Chong worked alone, arranging all the colored pencils himself while capturing the individual frames. As you’ll see in the time-lapse, there was no room for error while setting up and very meticulously moving the pencils. A single mistake, and he had to start all over again. The video may not be very long, but it took 920 pencils and 5,125 frames of footage. Not to mention, extreme patience and skill.
